Landscape photography is simply capturing and preserving a moment in time for a natural scene.
Architecture
Architectural photography is like landscape photography but replaces the trees and mountains with cityscapes and details of buildings. One of the biggest challenges of architectural photography is capturing the large structures without having them feel like they are leaning or tilted.
Hot Air Balloons
While Hot Air Balloons isn’t really one of the widely recognized range of photographic types or styles; I have it included as a genre of photography for myself as it is a subject I often capture on a regular basis.
Nature
Nature Photography is actually pretty broad has has a lot of sub-genres. All however are basically devoted to displaying natural elements or things occurring in the outdoors.
Abstract
Abstract photography doesn’t really fit into any of the other categories. You can find some unusual things in some pretty usual places. Most of these images are either an experiment of some kind or images that I feel are not the center of attention when they could be. Many could make a nice background for something else.
